This is sort of a photo history of the Datsun Roadster race car I know the best. It is a 1969 2000 that
was originally built by Wayne Erickson and Dennis Dent of the Seattle area. After the car was sold to Dennis Peters
of Tacoma, I crewed on it for 3 years (1992-4) as we campaigned it in local Conference races. We won our class
the first two of those years, then Dennis decided to sell the car and skipped a few races in 1994. We finally came
back out for the last couple of events and wound up finishing 2nd for the season.
At the time this picture was taken, it belonged to Wayne Erickson, NW Region SCCA Regional Exec. It is a full trick race car
with a very built 2-liter Solex engine, ultra-close 5-speed, 240-Z front brakes with dual adjustable master
cylinders, fiberglass, the works.

This picture was taken during our first year of campaigning the car. I don't have a date for this event,
but the picture was taken apexing turn 3A at Seattle International Raceway. I don't have the photographer's name.

came loose sometime during the race.

Dennis Peters on the left and me celebrating winning the 1992 season championship. Picture was taken at Seattle
International Raceway. That's sparkling cider, incidentally - no alcohol at the track.

This is the interior of Dennis' race car. OMP seat, Accusump in the passenger side, overkill roll cage,
adjustable brake bias, SW gauges.

This is the motor of the race car. It had all the usual race stuff: cam spray bar, 12.5:1 compression, trick
head, DeLongh cam, oil cooler, MSD ignition, Solexes, ultra-close 5-speed.

Here's the end of the first lap at one of our races in Portland...
