This is a collection of shots of Roadsters (mostly race cars) that has been culled from a wide
variety of sources. Credits are given where they are known.

Without a doubt the most famous Roadster racing team in history was the BRE (Brock Racing
Enterprises) team from California. Pete Brock had worked for Carrol Shelby, and had designed
the body for the famous Cobra Coupe, then formed the factory-backed Datsun team to develop
competition parts for roadsters. With drivers John Morton, Frank Monise and Bob McQueen,
they proceeded to kick butt all over the west coast. Other famous team members included
John Timanus and Mac Tilton.
Some of these pictures are taken from the Nissan Competition Parts catalogs, others are from unknown magazine articles.

This 1600 is Frank Honsowetz' first race car (and he still has it). Frank went on to become President of Nissan Motorsports US,
wrote a book called "How to Modify Your Nissan/Datsun OHC Engine" and raced SCCA NASPORT with a Nissan 240-SX.
He's now overseeing Nissan's involvement with Indy cars. This picture is from the 1982 Nissan Comp catalog.
The scribble at the bottom is part of Frank's signature. I got him to autograph it for me at a NASPORT race
a few years ago.

Rock Vest campaigned this 2000 in SCCA E Production. The photo is from the Vintage Views article on roadsters
in the Nov/Dec 1993 issue of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine.

I believe this is Frank Monise's BRE race car. It appeared in the 1982 Nissan Comp catalog,
which says the driver was Rick Hurst.

Don't have much info about this car, other than that it appeared in one of the Comp catalogs. Driver is Bill Swan. Sorry about the poor scan, the picture went across the seam in the catalog.

From the 1984 Comp catalog, we have Norm DeWitt in his DP 2000. Norm is from San Diego.

It just wouldn't be complete without a couple of shots of Joe Hauser, who has been racing a 1600 since forever.
Both shots are at the same spot - the esses at Road Atlanta. Looks like he made a few improvements.

Another beautiful shot from the 1984 Comp catalog. This was Ken Glassener's DP 2000 at the time, but originally it was John Morton's BRE car.
As of 1999, it belonged to Bob Dicke who runs it occasionally in Midwestern Council events.

The following are a set of shots from various Nissan Comp catalogs. They look like most of them were taken
at Road Atlanta in the esses. The drivers were not identified.
